Our holistic approach involves combining guidance with reflective practice discussions, which has proven to be the most effective approach for professionals and organisations to navigate the complexities of trauma and violence.
Our MHPSS guidance in Manas is deeply rooted in the lived experiences of those affected by mass violence, as much as in the cultural fabric from which these experiences emerge. We champion a participatory and collaborative approach that brings experts-by-experience to the forefront of the decision and review of the work we produce. In doing so, we uphold the resilience-based approach to recovery: “Nothing about us, without us!”.
Our team uses their vast experience in clinical and research settings across conflict zones to shape priorities and to promote a deeper, intersectional understanding of mass violence that enhances justice and recovery for all.

Explore further with Our Work in Action.

Our commitment to accompanying the advocacy of survivors and activists has fostered sensitive and impactful conversations within the highest diplomatic circles, earning us a reputation for excellence in this vital service.
We follow a trauma-informed model of support that ensures a whole system approach to the support devised for participants-advocates. The key actors facilitating the event, therefore, become not only skilled in their response but also shaping the structure of the event so that it can contribute to the participants’ healing journey. Our model combines emotional accompaniment and crisis-response, with psychological first aid training for event facilitators alongside group and individual reflective spaces.
